KIRVIT offers an effective answer to maintain updated all kind of Flight Simulator Devices, adjusting them to new technological and legal requirements.

To have the knowledge and mastery of related ciences have allowed us configure technological solutions directed to flight simulators modernization, due to several reasons, are out of service or simply are in need to update any one or all of their systems, or implementing new ones.

In this task, our ability to integrate technologies and industry knowledge are the best opportunity to maintain and protect the investment that aviation companies have made in their  training devices. This is how, in a first job, we got the full integration of  western analog and digital technology with the Russian technology of the 70s for the implementation of an external visual system and the addition of basic navigation instruments (VOR and ADF) to the Full Flight Simulator for Helicopter MI-8/MI-17, training device operated by the airline  Vertical de Aviación, being certified to simulate IFR operations at any scenery around the world.

Later, there was a overhauling which included the inclusion of the canopy within a big helmet to allow external visual projection in a range of 210° approximately. Already in a recent intervention, carried out a new implementation of this excellent equipmet, consisting of enabling a GPS system and a weather radar, both integrated into the simulation engine, thus completing the avionics that have real helicopters. In the same way, the visual field was expanded including two side and lower allowing that pilots can practice a better hovering and vertical takeoff and landing.

Currently,  KIRVIT is working hard on the design, manufacture and complete development of a new Full Flight Simulator for this helicopter (MI-8/17), which is going to receive FAA and Colombian Civil Aeronautical Authority califications for FFS Level B.
